A company
with family roots

Maronti is a family business, the third and fourth generation of Italian immigrants Don Antonio Baldino and Doña María Inmaculada Di Scala, who started the firm as a de facto company, dedicated to fish processing since 1958 without interruption.
The company began its activities in September 2009 and since then has been dedicated to the marketing and production of hake, squid and prawns, both in the local market and abroad, reaching about 10,000 tons of raw material per year of the highest quality.

 
As a reward for the personal effort and constant work of its founders, with continuity in their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the company has maintained a cycle of continuous growth since its beginnings, thus achieving the solvency and seriousness necessary to be able to work in a market that is increasingly demanding in terms of the quality of products and services.

With offices in the city of Mar del Plata, the company operates its own fishing vessels in the Argentine Sea (FAO 41) with landing ports such as Puerto Madryn, Comodoro Rivadavia, Caleta Olivia and Mar del Plata itself, among others.
The fleet consists of 3 freezer vessels, the Santisima Trinidad multi-species processing trawler with a capacity of 300 tons per trip, the Mishima Maru N8 squid jigger with a capacity of 600 tons of squid per trip, and the Arbumasa XXIX squid jigger with a capacity of 700 tons of squid per trip

The company processes and markets approximately 10,000 tons of the highest quality raw materials per year, destined for both the external and local markets.
Currently, MARONTI S.A. generates more than 160 direct jobs, as well as a large amount of indirect employment in ports, logistics and local raw material processing plants.

Planta Frigorífica

In 2020, the Company inaugurated its new office facilities, cold storage and processing plant of 10,000 square meters with capacity for 4,000 tons of fish.

The plant has the necessary certifications in accordance with the requirements of the European Union, the United States, South America and Asia.

The Company works with the HACCP System throughout the processing chain from the Ship to the Cold Storage facility, guaranteeing the hygiene and safety of the food.
